Visitors can enter the library to browse the shelves and checkout items while adhering to pandemic operations limits and restrictions.

Seating/ Meeting Rooms not available.

Please limit browsing to 15 minutes.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Mobile printing services are available – 10 cents per B/W page & 50 cents per Color page.

Please see the Information Desk if you need access to computer services. A limited number of Chromebooks and hotspots are available for home use.

Please note: All library materials should be returned to the outside return at the Killmurray Building.


For customers who need extra precautions, there remain three opportunities per week to arrange for Contact Free Pickup at the Killmurray Building. The Mobile Branch also provides contract free pickup locations around town for your convenience. . We encourage you to explore our free digital collections of Audiobooks, eBooks, Magazines, and Streaming Media.  All you need is a library card.


If you are in need of a SBPL card you can apply online here.  If you have a card but need your PIN number we can assist you here.


Borrowed items may be returned 24/7 to the book return slot at the Library main entrance.  Please do not leave any items outside of the building. Returned items are quarantined for 4 days and will remain checked out to your library card until the quarantine period is complete.  These quarantine days are not counted against your return date.


SBPL Information Services and Children’s Services staff can still provide information and assistance virtually, by telephone, e-mail or through the chatbox.

  • The Friends of SBPL are unable to accept book donations at this time. Information about the Friends and to join them for 2021 can be found here.
  • Items checked out after November 1, 2020 are subject to late fees if kept past their due dates. Fees are avoidable and promote sharing of our resources throughout the community!
