How to Get Started

“Libraries Rock” is the theme for Adult Summer Reading this year.  It starts June 23 and runs through August 18.  Fill out a “Book/Audio Review” form for every book you read and submit them at the Information or Check-Out Desk.   No registration required!

Entry Forms

Submit a “Book/Audio Review” form for every book you read this summer.  Bring in the form as soon as you finish the book to be eligible for weekly prize drawings.  One winner will be drawn each Saturday from the entries submitted during that week.  The first drawing will be July 7 and the last drawing will be August 11.  Winners will be notified.

Starting June 23, forms and collection boxes will be available at the Information and the Check-Out Desks. You can print a copy of this form below but completed forms must be deposited in the box each week by the end of the day on Friday to be eligible for that week’s drawing.

Group Mural Project

We are looking for people to participate in our 7th Annual Adult Summer Reading group mural project.  As in the past, we will create a reproduction of a well-known work of art; this year it is a painting by Roy Lichtenstein titled Preparedness.  It was completed in 1968, the same year the library was started and is now in the collection at the Guggenheim in New York.  Our mural will be comprised of the work of 12 different artists which will be hung together in a group installation to commemorate the Library’s 50th Birthday.

If you are interested in participating in the 7th Annual Collaborative Summer Reading Mural, contact bbattles@sbpl.info to participate.  See a description and information below for more to learn more about this event and you can participate!
