To borrow an item that is not owned by the South Brunswick Public Library or by one of its partner libraries in the LMxAC consortium then you will want an Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Request ILLs at the Information Desk in-person or by phone at 732-329-4000, ext. 7286.

An ILL can come from a library anywhere in the United States and can take as long two to four weeks to arrive at SBPL for pick-up.  Please indicate if the item is needed by a certain date on the ILL Request Form.

This special borrowing privilege comes with greater overdue fines and restrictions.  The loan period is for a maximum time of three weeks. Interlibrary Loans can not be renewed or re-requested for at least three months.  Overdue fines for ILL items are 50 cents per day with no maximum.
