Workforce NJ Public Information Network
Online assistance provided for job seekers by the state’s One-Stop Career Center.  Access to job postings, career information, job fairs, and resume preparation are available. Links to One-Stop Career Centers located throughout the state providing free support services including access to employment counselors, workshops and educational training programs are provided as well.

New Jersey Civil Service Commission (NJ Dept. of Personnel)
This site lists civil service job openings that are posted by the New Jersey Department of Personnel. Application process and testing information are available as well.

New Jersey Job Bank
This site provides links to jobs, employment services and career information for job candidates, employers, and recruiters.

New Jersey’s Job Exchange
Online resource available to both job seekers and employers. This site allows you to search for jobs as well as career information. Users can sign up to create resumes and cover letters, apply for jobs and have job listings sent to their e-mail. Employers can post jobs and search for resumes.

New Jersey Jobs
This resource provides statewide job listings. Listings from various New Jersey newspapers can be searched as well.

New Jersey Next Stop
This “one-stop career center” is jointly administered by several state agencies as well as the John J. Heldrich Center for Development at Rutgers University. Geared toward those who will be entering the workforce, it provides industry and career information, as well as tips on the job hunting process.

America’s Job Exchange
Over half a million job postings can be accessed from this site. The site claims to specialize in “the non-executive jobs that most Americans seek and serves a high percentage of minorities, women and veteran groups.” Job search tools and career advice are also offered.

Career Builder
This resource provides national and international job listings searchable by company, industry and category. Part-time, freelancing and internship opportunities are also posted. The site also provides links to tools such as career testing, advice, salary calculators and skills training information.

Career One Stop
Formerly known as Job Bank USA, this site provides over 900,000 job listings throughout the country, with 1,000 new listings added daily. Individual state job bank listings may be searched as well. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Federal Jobs Digest
This job database is offered by the federal government. They claim to offer over 15,000 immediate openings, which are updated daily. Applications for most of these positions, which encompass all occupations and salary levels, do not require a written test.

Job-Hunt.org
This site provides comprehensive listings of online job search resources and services in a user-friendly format. They also provide job search advice and access to networking resources.

Monster
Monster claims to be the world’s largest online career website. Users may browse and search for job opportunities worldwide. Job search advice is offered on topics that include strategy, interviewing, diversity and inclusion. Career “tools” such as mapping and benchmarking are offered as well.

The Riley Guide
This guide describes itself as a “directory of employment and career information sources on the Internet.” User-friendly links are provided for easy site navigation. Information is also provided to assist employers and recruiters.

The official job site of the federal government, it also offers employment opportunities for students, veterans and resources for people with disabilities.

Facts on File - Ferguson’s Career Guidance Center

This database enables the user to explore different occupations. Salaries, occupational outlook and prospects, educational and licensure requirements and school, scholarship and internship information are available. Tools for career assessment, resume-writing and job searching are also offered.

Job Hunters Bible
Online site for the classic career guide “What Color is Your Parachute?’” Offers links to online career counseling, testing and advice as well as internet research tools. Also provided are links to web sites for job hunting, resume preparation and networking.
