SUMMER READING FOR ADULTS“Ground Breaking Reads” – Adult Summer Readingat the South Brunswick Public Library There is no registration required for the Adult Summer Reading Program. As we have done the past few summers, adults can “register” the books they have read by submitting a “Groundbreaking Reads Book Review” form which will automatically enter you in a drawing for prizes to be awarded at the end-of-summer party. We will start collecting forms on June 24. Every book review form submitted by the Wednesday, August 21 deadline will qualify for 10 tickets in the drawing for fun prizes. Forms are available at all the public desks in the library or online on our website. Attention Parents: This summer we are allowing you to submit a “Read to Me” form for every 5 books you read to (or with) your kids. There will be gift baskets filled with goodies and two grand prizes – a $50 and a $25 Barnes and Noble gift card. Consider participating in the Second Annual Summer Reading Mural. This year, the image we will “re-create” for the mural will be “The Driller,” a painting by South Brunswick’s famous artist Leon Bibel. The painting, in the cubist style, is part the WPA murals that Bibel is known for. If you are interested in being one of the artists featured in this year’s mural, contact Barbara Battlesat outreach@sbpl.info. The fragments will start to be distributed on June 4 and will be due on August 21 at the latest. Don’t miss our fun summer reading programs to be held on Thursday afternoons at1:00 p.m.starting on June 27! See the event calendar for specific dates and events.
